I just bought a Volvo S60. The front left turn signal keeps going out, but eventually comes back. Since it seems like it could be more of a wiring issue than a bulb issue, I want to get it looked at by someone other than myself.
A: i would replace the bulb socket . they were known to overheat and go bad on the s60 and other models.

A: Get the dealer to fix it. It should be covered under warranty.
Q: Is it possible to install a manual transmission on a Volvo S60?
I have an automatic 2006 Volvo S60 2.0T. It is a 2 liter with 180 horsepower and an automatic transmission. I was wondering if it were possible to purchase and install a manual gearbox on it? Does anyone have a manual S60? How do you like the gearbbox? The reason I am wondering is because I like the design of the gearbox and I like manual better than automatic.
A: It is possible but not practical as it will create many headaches. Just trade it for a manual, they do come with a 6 speed manual.

I just bought a used volvo s60 2001. it stalled on me about twenty minutes after purchase. I got a little insight about lemon laws etc. But if i were to keep the car and get it fixed, can it be easily fixed and will it be expensive?

Q: How do I get my brakes to not squeal on an '04 Volvo S60?
I drive an '04 volvo S60 and the brakes squeal. Is there anything to help that (the dealership said volvos and jaguars tend to do this but I am curious of any possible ideas)?
A: The biggest cause of brake squeal is aftermarket pads or the channels where the pads slide on the mount was not cleaned and lubricated. I always recommend Volvo pads because they don't squeak or click like cheap aftermarket pads. Also Volvo's official stance is you are not supposed to machine rotors since the heat from cutting will make them warp again very soon. I do recommend a dealership for all work other than the easy stuff you can do like bulbs, wiper blades, etc. As a tech at the volvo dealership i get to fix all mistakes that the aftermarket shops make or the owner. hope this helped .

Q: Whats the difference between a Volvo S60 and S70?
Im supposed to be getting a Volvo S70 (white 1999) and i was looking on the website and its now a S60. Whats the difference between the two? Like looks and all?
A: The s60 model was introduced in the year 2000. It is the updated model of the s70.
The s70 is larger in size, and is still quite square looking as volvo's of the time were. The front end however begins to show some curve and styling. They can have a 2.0, 2.3, or 2.4 litre engine, the 2.4 being standard.
The s60 has a lot of curves, and sloped windscreens, not a square in sight. Google image searches will bring up some good pics of the respective cars.
Q: Which setting should i leave my 2003 Volvo s60 headlights on?
I just got a used 2003 Volvo s60. There are three settings for the headlight. The middle setting turns them off and leaves just the dashboard lights on, but the first setting and the third seem identical. They both turn on the dashboard and the headlights. Am i missing something? which setting do i use for night time?
A: I am in the auto industry and I currently own a Volvo (I've owned 6 over the years). The far left setting is the automatic setting (off during the day, on at night). The daytime running lights are on during the day, but they can be programmed to stay off if you desire). The middle setting is the parking lights, not the daytime running lights. You use these only when you are stopped and temporarily parked. The far right is the override for the headlights. Your lights will be forced on, even though the automatic sensor doesn't turn the lights on. My recommendation is to use the far left all the time and turn it to the right in the rain (daytime driving).

Q: how do i cange the bulb under the wing mirror on a volvo s60?
i have a warning message on my volvo s60 saying '' bulb failure position light '' the only bulb i can find not working is the small light on the underside of the wing mirror. could this be the correct bulb and if so i cannot see how to replace it. thanks in advance for any help offered.

I've been interested in Volvo S60 R's for some time now. The car has everything one could need: 300HP, 295 lb/ft torque, All-Wheel-Drive, all luxury amenities standard, four-piston caliper brakes front and rear, 4-C chassis system, constant monitoring of all four wheels, and the unleveled safety of Volvo... all for under $20,000 for a used one. Can anyone show me another car of this caliber for the same price?

Q: 2003 volvo s60 awd passenger door lock, window, mirror and outside temperature guage problem?
I love my 2003 Volvo s60, with 50K miles. Recently the passenger door lock started to make a rattling noise and won't lock from the driver's seat panel. The window, mirror and temp guage followed suit. I unhooked the battery cables and put them back on to reset computer. Nothing happened, until I drove about ten miles and then everything began to work again. However, when I start the car cold the old problems reappear...until I drive another ten miles. Any idea as to what this problem might be?
A: you may need to have the software reloaded for the passenger door module. I would take it to the dealer as they are the only ones able to download the software. Not too sure as of the cost, but I would expect at least 100 dollars.
Q: How do I disable the alarm on my Volvo s60?
The alarm on my 2003 Volvo S60 has just started going off for no reason. I know they can be affected by bad weather, cats jumping on the bonnet etc, but today it went off 30 seconds after I parked it, and it was a warm, still day with nothing moving round the car. The Volvo technicians recently replaced the heater box, and I'm wondering if they could have disturbed something then, particularly as just before the alarm started malfunctioning I noticed a rattle had started behind the main console. I don't like car alarms anyway so am happy to just disable the damn thing! There is no fault showing up in the fault box on the dashboard. Any ideas? There's nothing in the manual about disabling the alarm. I had thought about taking the fuse out which relates to the siren, but am guessing that the lights will still flash etc.

My mom has a Volvo S60 R, i belive a 2005. I recently got my drivers lisense and she says I can't drive it because it is too fast. She thinks the "R" stands for racecar. If I can prove her wrong I can drive it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
A: The "R" on the Volvo S60 R actually doesn't mean anything. The R badging doesn't "stand for race or rally, it just mean it's a high-performance Volvo. It just has more horsepower than your standard Volvo.
Q: I have just bought a volvo s60 d5, why and am only getting 25mpg !?
I have just bought a 2002 Volvo s60 d5 85k miles on clock full service history, im not driving it hard and am only getting 25mpg. I have check for fuel leaks and cannot see any problems, the engine runs fine. Are there any known issues as to why my mpg is so low ? all volvo figures state a combined mpg of 47mpg.
